Dr Ismail Adam Patel is a UK-based scholar, author, and researcher, and the founder of the NGO Friends of Al-Aqsa. He has served as a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Leeds and is widely recognised for his work on Palestine, Jerusalem, and contemporary Muslim intellectual thought.
He is the author of numerous books and articles, including A Brief History of Palestine, Madina to Jerusalem: Encounters with the Byzantine Empire, Virtues of Jerusalem, A Biography and Memoirs of Shaykh Husain Ahmad Madani, and Making the Muslim Problem: From British Empire to Islamophobia. His work explores the historical, spiritual, and intellectual dimensions of Palestine and the wider Muslim world, bringing together rigorous scholarship with a deep commitment to preserving Islamic heritage.
