We are pleased to host a special discussion with Prof. HRH Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad (Chief Advisor to H.M. King Abdullah II for Religious and Cultural Affairs in Jordan) and the Revd. Canon Professor Paul S.Fiddes (Professor of Systematic Theology, University of Oxford, Director of Research Regents’ Park College Oxford).
HRH has written a number of books on Islam, including A Thinking Person’s Guide to Islam and Love in the Holy Qur’an which focuses love of God and love of the neighbour, along with family love; friendship; the stages of falling in love; sexual love; extra-marital love; beauty; taste and much more.
Professor Fiddes’ books include: Participating in God and Seeing the World and Knowing God. This evening he will be discussing love in the Christian perspective in the context of the research project in the Oxford Centre for Christianity and Culture at the University of Oxford (see www.loveinreligion.org) that runs in collaboration with the Royal Aal Al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought, Amman, Jordan.
